Baby Buddy Forward (“we”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Baby Buddy Cyprus website. It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. Our aim is not just to comply with privacy law. It’s to earn your trust.
Information We Collect & How We Use It
Baby Buddy Cyprus (“site”) doesn’t make money from ads. So we don’t collect data in order to advertise to you. The tracking we do at Baby Buddy Cyprus is to make our product work as well as possible.
In order to give you the best possible experience using Baby Buddy Cyprus, we collect information from your interactions with our network. Baby Buddy Cyprus uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Amazon, for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run Baby Buddy Cyprus. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs. By using Baby Buddy Cyprus website, you authorize Baby Buddy Cyprus to transfer, store, and use your information in Cyprus and any other EU country where we operate.
Third-Party Embeds

If you consent to receiving emails you will receive information about pregnancy and parenting e.g. highlights for the upcoming week We may also contact you about our latest news, events, campaigns, workshops related to pregnancy and parenting as well as opportunities to provide feedback for our services, participate in new exciting projects, fundraise and donate. Occasionally, we may include information from partner organisations. Sometimes we’ll send you emails about your account, service changes or new policies. You can opt out of non-administrative emails such as newsletters, and event notifications through your account’s “Settings” page.
When you interact with an email sent from Baby Buddy Cyprus (such as opening an email or clicking on a particular link in an email), we receive information about that interaction. We won’t email you to ask for your password or other account information. If you receive such an email, please send it to us so we can investigate.
If you send a request, provide feedback, make a donation, sign up for an event, volunteer for an event, register to fundraise, we may also collect additional data (for example, name and contact details). We collect this information in order to have feedback about the uptake and usage of our services, track trends and patterns of usage and coverage and to better target underserviced population groups and geographical areas. Data provided are encrypted, so we are not ble to identify individual users.
Retention
We will retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
Baby Buddy Cyprus retains personal data associated with your account for the lifetime of your account. If you would like to delete your personal information, you can delete your account at any time. We retain your personal data so that you can reactivate your account. However, your personal will be deleted from our server after three years from your original registration date. Your usage data such as what pages you access and your interactions with our product features (like daily information and videos) will be retained indefinitely. If our site suspends indefinitely we will delete all contact and personal information.
Rights of Data Subjects
If you sign up for a Baby Buddy Cyprus account, you may at any time request an export of your personal information by contacting us via the “Contact us” page on www.babybuddy.com.cy or www.babybuddyforward.com
Request correction: You may correct information or update your profile associated with your account from the Settings page at any time. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account at any time through the Settings page.
Withdraw consent: You have a right to ask us to stop processing your personal data, and if it’s not necessary for the purpose you provided it to us for (e.g. registering you for an event) we will do so. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent. Request access: You have a right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you. We will respond to any data requests within 1 month. If there are any discrepancies in the information we provide, please let us know and we will correct them.
If you want to access your information, send a description of the information you want to see and proof of your identity by post to: School of Health Sciences, Cyprus University of Technology, 15, Vragadinou, 3041 Limassol, Cyprus. We do not accept these requests by email so we can ensure that we only provide personal data to the right person.
Request erasure: You can ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.
Object to processing: where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground. Terms and Conditions
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Baby Buddy Forward. They govern your use of Baby Buddy Forward’s websites and content (“Services”).
By using Baby Buddy Cyprus website, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree to any of the Terms, you can’t use Baby Buddy Cyprus website.

Intellectual property
Baby Buddy Cyprus is a licensed partner of Best Beginnings (www.bestbeginnings.org.uk/baby-buddy), a registered charity (number 1120054) and company (number 5866886) in England and Wales, who hold all the rights to Baby Buddy UK and Global partners video and written content with exception of locally produced video and written content.
Best Beginnings granted access to the material to the Baby Buddy Forward consortium and permission to translate, adapt accordingly where necessary for Cyprus and feature on the new website as part of the Baby Buddy Forward project. The intellectual property rights of all locally produces video and written content is shared between the partners of the consortium.
Our content and services
You may not copy or adapt any portion of our code or visual design elements (including logos) without express written permission from Best Beginnings unless otherwise permitted by law. If you want to use any of the locally (Cyprus) produced materials you should send a message to the School of Health Sciences, Cyprus University of Technology (www.cut.ac.cy/faculties/hsc/contact/) or contact us via the “Contact us” feature on www.babybuddy.com.cy or www.babybuddyforward.com. The use of material for other purposes or by a third party requires the written permission of the owner of intellectual property rights, as described above, and should not include uses of the material for profit.
You may not do, or try to do, the following: (1) access or tamper with non-public areas of the Services, our computer systems, or the systems of our technical providers; (2) access or search the Services by any means other than the currently available, published interfaces (e.g., APIs) that we provide; (3) forge any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any email or posting, or in any way use the Services to send altered, deceptive, or false source-identifying information; or (4) interfere with, or disrupt, the access of any user, host, or network, including sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, mail-bombing the Services, or by scripting the creation of content or accounts in such a manner as to interfere with or create an undue burden on the Services.
